Major Professional Accomplishments
- Solved a long-standing problem in the application of morphological integration to the identification of clusters of correlated morphological characters, 1969.
- Co-pioneered the development of the Installation Environmental Assessment as a baseline document for evaluating the environmental impacts of military actions, 1972.
- Co-developed the Pinkham-Pearson Index, now regarded by EPA and several States as one of the half-dozen or so most powerful indexes for assessing the impact of pollution upon community structure in organisms, 1974.
- Co-invented the Wallo'Water Plant Protector, a season extending device that allows gardeners and farmers to start plants outside 6 to 8 weeks earlier thus producing a 2 to 5-fold increase in yield, 1977.
- Hold three patents, 1979,1981,1983.
- Initiated and ran the Reserve Component Preventive Medicine Network which included editing and publishing a weekly electronic newsletter to nearly 700 U.S. PM military reservists worldwide, 1998-2003.
